Located at the junction of Fulin Road and Zhishan Road, Shuangxi Park was so named because the Waishuan River and Neishuan River run from the north to the south and meet at Shilin. It is the passage from Shilin to Yangmingshan, National Palace Museum, and the Waishuan River and Neishuan River. Completed in 1974, the park with an open area of about 2 hectares is a garden of natural landscapes. Sitting on a flat surface, the park takes a triangular shape and is arranged in the style of a traditional Chinese garden to bring a natural look. Inside the park, the cloisters are linked to the kiosk, pavilion, stone cave, nine-turn bridge, rockeries, and falls at the pond center. Plants in the park, such as green pines and palm trees, wisteria flowers climbing across the eaves, poincianas and cherry blossoms representing separation, and so on, demonstrate their charm in different seasons to define the poetic and picturesque Shuangxi Park in the best manner. Wandering around the park, a scene popping up from a secluded corner shows another wonder. Mountains and rivers are the features and subject matter of the park. Willows gently swing by the riverside as the breeze blows by, mountains afar are green and dull, clouds are changing constantly, and the gorgeous scene comes out of nature. In the park, pavilions, pavilions, classic cloisters, and thick tree shades scatter in different views, making the place a perfect spot for meditation in pace with the mood at times. Besides the modern beauty, Shuangxi Park also retains the classic esthetics, making it a rare city park worthy of visit.
